COMSO Selected for Maryland Clean Energy Loan Program Web Development
The program funds loans to homeowners for energy efficiency improvements.
Greenbelt, Maryland --
2/19/2010.
The Maryland Clean Energy Center has awarded a contract to COMSO to design and develop a web services platform for its Clean Energy Loan Program. The program allows loans to be repaid over time through annual installments on homeowners’ property tax bills.
COMSO will develop the system giving homeowners easy Internet access to register and apply for the loans. Each energy efficiency improvement project will be tracked through loan application and processing, installation or completion of improvements, and closeout. Homeowners will receive e-mail notifications whenever the status of their application changes.
Funding will be available to homeowners in Maryland cities and counties that participate in the Maryland Clean Energy Loan Program. The system will provide financial calculators, audit trails, reports, and interactive maps showing the location and status of each project.
The loan program is fast-tracked for launch in early 2010.
