When technological change is needed, COMSO is there from the initial perception of a customer’s need through successful implementation of the solution. We help our customers in developing system and subsystem software requirements. Our personnel evaluate new products, meet with COTS vendors, and make recommendations to customer management for hardware and software acquisitions. We'll perform engineering studies to adapt COTS products to meet special operational requirements and contingencies. We'll work with you to plan deployments, then install and test new systems and upgrades. We'll field your systems and resolve outstanding issues after the fact.
System and Network Administration
We design, develop, implement, and maintain solutions to operational issues with server equipment software and hardware in network modes and operating systems. We're there through the planning and installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and applications software. We'll travel to your sites and install new servers and upgrades. We routinely monitor and measure system resources, including performance, capability, availability, serviceability, and recoverability. We implement security procedures and tools; ensure systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency; maintain system configuration; and manage the installation and integration of system fixes, updates, and enhancements. We adapt systems administration standard operating procedures to your operational environment and systems baseline.
Data Center and Helpdesk Support
COMSO excels at data center and helpdesk support in responding to trouble calls, resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems, and ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services. We'll track the data center equipment inventory, layout, power, and cabling to support your oranization's IT requirements. We can help you shepherd your IT systems through the NIST Certification and Analysis assessment. COMSO has helped Federal Government agencies develop security certification packages following NIS 800 series guidelines, including test plans, test results, penetration testing, risk assessments, contingency plans, and final recommendations. We can help your organization prepare for formal C&A by assembling the required system security documentation and performing preliminary system and database scans, vulnerability assessment, and system test and evaluation to help you determine where remediation is required before beginning the formal certification process.
